The infamous William Brodie was born in Edinburgh in 1741. William followed in his fathers footsteps and became a cabinetmaker and locksmith and later on became a Deacon of the Incorporation of Wrights on the Edinburgh Council.
William Brodie was believed by many to be the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson's Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

On our Dark Deacons Tour find out about the Deacons double life. Where did he live, who were his friends, where did his two wives live, where he was executed and where he is buried, or is he?
Did he cheat the executioner? Learn all about the darker side of Old Edinburgh and some of her inhabitants. All this and much more on our themed costumed Dark Deacons Tour.

Our tours will start in the spring of 2019. Tours will last around 120 mins.
